Soap Making Class

Come have some fun and learn to make your own soap! The folks from Lally Broch Farm will be at Tiller & Rye in Brewer, ME to help take you through all of the steps to make your own "Cold Processed" artisan Goat's Milk soap or (if you prefer) Vegan soaps- perfect for gifting or for your own personal use!

What you NEED to KNOW:

We will guide you in creating 8 bars of soap (a $56 value). The cost of the class is $50 per person and includes all the materials necessary to create your own soaps. Pre-registration is required. You may choose to bring your own soap molds to take your soaps home with you that night. OR you may use our molds and we will return your soaps to Tiller & Rye for you to pick up about a week after our class is held. Each student will receive a 3-page hand-out after class detailing our soap making method, three soap recipes (including the one we create together) and a list of resources for supplies. Seating is limited to eight students so that we can provide personal attention and answer questions. Don't delay in reserving your spot. :) We hope to see you there!

Our Cold Process Soap Ingredients: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Sunflower Oil, and (responsibly sourced) Palm oil. Sodium Hydroxide.

Assorted Optional Additions: Essential Oils, Dried flowers and herbs, Clay, etc.

This class is suitable for people ages 7+. Parents/Guardians may bring their child to create a batch of soap together. Soap making can be hazardous so please consider the child's maturity when making your reservation. We want this to be a fun and positive experience for everyone. :) Each student ticket ($50) can be used to reserve 1 adult OR 1 adult and 1 child working together to make 1 batch (8 bars) of soap. If you will each be creating your own batches of 8 soaps each, 2 tickets are required.

Seating is limited. Please click on the image below to reserve your spot!
